Simple Tips to Make Eating Whole Foods Easy

June 06, 20232 min read

Eating fresh, whole foods, means in most part that we need to invest time in cooking, which can require more preparation and planning but it means you know exactly whats going into the meals you’re consuming. The internet is full of blogs and websites with recipe ideas and inspiration, the healthy cookbook market is now huge with so many options catering for any kind of diet, whether youre vegetarian, vegan or flexitarian. There are many quick and easy recipes that can be prepared, which are great for even the busiest of us, the key is to get organized. This means shopping lists and maybe even some menu planning but its worth every moment of the time you invest. Here's a few tips to make healthy eating easy:

1 - Make a list of the items which you know are your go-to ingredients and ensure you’re always stocked up with these; you could try setting up a weekly home delivery so you know you always have those items in the house. This may include things like hummus, carrots, a selection of nuts and seeds, cottage cheese, oat cakes, eggs, avocados, smoked salmon and easy to put together salad style ingredients.

2 - Make use of your freezer too as it will save you from making everything from scratch. Soups, stews and curries are great options to have stored in the freezer, as well as home made sauces, like pesto, which you can use to add extra flavor to your food. You could also chop up your vegetables in advance and keep them in the freezer ready to cook.

3 - Dinner is often the meal that's easiest to get right as we tend to be at home with a bit of time to cook and prepare food. With this in mind a great option is to cook extra, put it in a container and have that for your lunch the next day.

4 - Snacks can be really simple too, grab a few carrots, some nuts or seeds, and maybe a piece of fruit and pop it in a container you take with you for when you need a snack.

5 - If you aren't able to cook extra, or simply forget to bring food with you when you head out to work for the day, that's fine – a quick trip to the nearest supermarket and all kinds of readily available whole food options are available; cooked prawns, bagged salads, spinach, ham, sliced turkey, cooked chicken, nuts, seeds, any kind of fruit or vegetable; these are all available and ready to eat.

6 - And finally, if you need an extra helping hand to get organized then you could also sign up for healthy meal delivery companies, which make cooking with fresh ingredients easy as they have all the ingredients chopped and ready for you to cook and prepare.

Donny Day saw a gap in the fitness industry that has never been offered before. With fifteen collective company awards to his name, mentorship of over 100 fitness managers, 1000 personal trainers, and over 40,000 clients, Donny Day had a vision.

Donny Day is one of the fortunate people who knows what he wants early in life.

“I was young enough to want it so bad. And after spending countless hours training with other trainers, following them around, taking notes from everybody, begging for information, and doing all my certifications, before I knew it, I became the number one trainer for Bally Total Fitness in the State of Texas. And I was just 18 years old when that happened.”

By the time he reached 20 years old, he had an opportunity to move to Los Angeles and work at LA Fitness. Striving to be the best fitness trainer he could be, Donny used the experience to excel, working 12 hours a day, and promoting to Manager.

Eventually, Donny moved back to Texas to train private clients and obtain new certifications to improve his fitness knowledge. Shortly after, he became a Manager for Just Fitness’ Personal Training Department where he broke multiple sales records, and was promoted to Vice President for their 20 million dollar project with 20 clubs. During his time as Vice President Donny Day visited and studied the nation’s top fitness trends in order to build various personal training and group personal training programs within the Just Fitness business.

Using insight from his previous work, letting experiences mold him, and learning from his obstacles, Donny Day then created Beat The Dad Bod USA & Peak Zone Fitness, a fitness startup featured in over 200 different media outlets and loved by its customers with over 600 perfect reviews.
